His simple lifestyle changed forever as he became a "small town" over-night celebrity. For over twenty-five years he told about this glamorous lifestyle of working at The White House before thousands of people on Long Island stages! Today, in retirement, he remains active telling his story to all who heed his words, he's Frank Lazzaro of Levittown, N.Y.

Introducing Frank Lazzaro
Frank Lazzaro is a Long Island celebrity in Libraries, Senior Clubs and Non-profit Organizations. He is the former White House Holiday and State Dinner "Freelance" Floral Decorator during the Ford, Carter and Reagan Administrations, a self published Author and a United States Army Veteran. His floral designs once graced the tables of three sitting Presidents, The Queen of England, A Prince, The Governors of the United States, an Emperor and an abundance of world famed celebrities and dignitaries attending a White House State Dinner or Black Tie reception one time or another. His over-night success came quickly at the youthful age of twenty-five to this young man of "Little financial means." He grew up in a low-middle class neighborhood and became the youngest Christmas Decorator at the White House to hold this privilege position. Born and raised in Jamaica, N.Y., in a simple Italian family lifestyle, he remained in the spotlight of this elegant career with the very privileged surrounding him for twelve years, standing in the midst of the most affluent and powerful humans of the day. Today, He lives a retirement senior lifestyle of a "minimalist" with the very simple pleasures of a world that needs tranquility, less stress, financial worries, credit card debt and materialism of "unnecessary things" in the human being of today's modern age. He enjoys working out daily in the gym, traveling on foot to different places wearing a hooded sweatshirt and carrying a military backpack when not performing his "NON PROFIT" seminars on stage before hundreds of people and presenting his autograph to the audience viewers on his seminar booklet. His biggest joy in life is sharing his unique White House years with the populace and bring to them a "free" educational experience to the uninformed. Frank sometimes enjoys the beauty of nature surrounding him on a park bench with a homeless man and giving him a motivational uplifting talk. He's a man of "rough edges" with his military survival and jungle training at Fort Polk, La. and airborne training at Fort Bragg, NC. He is well known in his community for taking street panhandlers into a Seven Eleven and treating them to a hot dog and drink. He once was abuptly informed by a manager of a White Castle to leave the premises because he came in with a deprived "man of the streets" to dined with him. In his later years he taught floral arranging to young adults with special needs and fell in love with the job. He once was asked to be the Guest of Honor at a political fund raiser luncheon in Nassau County but declined the important invite unless he could bring along six of his special needs students with him to dined at the guest of honor table for this festive banquet. His request was granted. (He owns no vehicle and enjoys the freedom of not being a slave to debt). "To have and to own less, is to have more joy in life." His famous shows are "not for profit" (He's labeled a "Starving Artist to many") and to his living lifestyle and takes no compensation for himself. On stage at Farmingdale State College in Glesson Hall he once told a full house of Long Island Garden Club members, "The love of money is the root of all evil, I hate it so, but need it to survive." Organizations must compensate his full expense of a rented vehicle, insurance and necessities, for him to travel and perform on their stages. He is no subordinate to anyone, and answers only to his Heavenly Father, bringing everyone down to his equal. In July of 2015 on a News12 Television interview he told a reporter, "After dining at The White House and rubbing elbows with three Presidents, during my twelve year stay, everyone else, no matter who it may be, takes a back seat in my life". Frank Lazzaro is truly a unique American Male who has chosen to walk the path of life less traveled on .
